In place of the Pony Sale we will be having the first Southern California Specialty Horse Sale (S.C.S.H.S.) at 6:00 pm on Saturday night, starting in February of '08. We will be selling different types of horses each sale. (Trail Riding Horses in February, Barrel Racing Horses in May, etc., etc.) The catalogue fee will be $250.00 per head with an 8% commission (minimum $75.00) & a 4% of last bid pass out fee. (minimum $50.00) With the $250.00 consignment fee you will get a stall with one bale of shavings included. You will also automatically be entered into a specialty class in which you will be competing for great prizes from 1st - 5th place. ( A beautiful custom made saddle, or its equivalent, for 1st. Then gift certificates from well known feed & tack/clothing stores in Southern California from 2nd - 5th) The specialty class will be on S.C.S.H.S. Saturday, starting time pending & will be judged by an approved horse show judge. Unless it is only a timed event such as a barrel race. Horses will perform strictly in order of hip number. Your performance in the class will be filmed & will be shown as the horse sells that night. We will be consigning a maximum of 50 horses to the S.C.S.H.S. & you will pick your own hip numbers. Please remember that the Trail Riding Specialty Sale will be for good solid trail horses. So we will not be accepting any consignments under 4 years old. NO GREEN BABIES!! Up & coming changes for the All Breed Sale '08.
The FREE "preview" for the All Breed Sale will continue starting promptly at noon on Saturday. All the horses that are in the "preview" will go by hip number. They will normally all get 3 minutes to work in the "preview". At the discretion of the announcer, depending on the number of horses in the "preview", the time given to each horse may vary.
We're doing this to showcase your horse, trying to make them bring higher prices for you on sale day. Participation is voluntary but it is to your benefit to preview your horse(s) on Saturday. This way, buyers can rely on catalogue notes along with the performance in the "preview" to help them feel more confident with the horses they wish to bid on.
